Configure an HES or EI source with JetClean

For an EI or HES Source, you will see a dialog similar to the one shown below. To configure the instrument to use the JetClean function:

  1. Select JetClean - EI only system. The Gas Configuration automatically changes to configure Channel A as None, and Channel B as Hydrogen. These cannot be changed.

  2. To allow hydrogen to continue flow after the run is idle, select Turn off hydrogen gas if inactive (min) and set a time for hydrogen flow up to 3000 minutes. This feature is useful when you want to flush with hydrogen over a weekend. This example shows 10 minutes.

  3. Click OK to return to the 597xMSD Configuration dialog.
