View reference chromatograms

Reference chromatograms are shown in the online signals plot if at least one reference chromatogram is defined in your processing method. To display reference chromatograms, click Show reference chromatograms in the Online Signals window. A list of reference chromatograms is displayed.

Reference chromatograms can only be displayed during a run and will become available to display when a single sample or sequence run is acquiring. When the list of reference chromatograms becomes available, select the check box for the reference chromatogram you want to display in the online signals plot. A maximum of 5 reference chromatograms per processing method can be displayed. In the case of a dual GC injection, you can select separate processing methods for the front and back injections. In that case, a maximum of 10 reference chromatograms can be displayed.

If the run completes or is stopped, the reference chromatograms are no longer available to display.

If the reference chromatogram is changed in the processing method after the run is submitted, those changes will not be reflected in the online signals plot for that run. In this case, it is recommended to compare the chromatograms in Data Analysis.
