Start the Control Panel from any machine connected to the system you want to return the license for.
Navigate to Administration > Licenses
Select Manage Electronic Licenses.
In the ribbon, click Manage Licenses.
The licensing interface opens in a web browser.
Select Offline Activation.
Select Activation ID, enter how many licenses you want to keep in the Total Activated column. Entering 0 means returning all counts of this Activation ID.
Click Update.
Click Generate Activation Request.
An Activation Request file is generated and saved to the default Downloads folder. The view switches automatically to the Install Activation Response tab
Transfer the Activation Request file to a device connected to the internet.
On this device, login to your Agilent Online Account. On any entitlement in the License and Agreements tab, click Activate Offline.
Navigate to Devices > Offline Device Management.
Select Generate license and upload the Activation Request file.
A message informs you once the response has been generated successfully.
Download the Activation Response file (capabilityResponse.bin), and transfer it back to the device with the software for which you want to activate the license.
On the Install Activation Response tab, upload the Activation Response file.
Click Install Activation Response.
The view automatically switches to the third tab, Activation Confirmation. An Activation Confirmation file downloads automatically into the default Downloads folder.
Transfer the Activation Confirmation file to the device connected to the FlexNet Operations Portal.
In the Offline Device Management of the FlexNet Operations Portal, select Generate license or confirm license reduction or return.
Upload the Activation Confirmation file.
The license return is concluded.
NOTE
If you cannot locate the original Activation Confirmation file, you can download a new one using the Activation Confirmation tab in the licensing interface.
