Custom Calculation (CC) results are processed on sequence level. This means that they are computed as follows:
During data processing in OpenLab Data Analysis
With single injections or injections acquired outside a result set (sequence), the Custom Calculation results are computed for each injection independently. You can compute Custom Calculations only with the results of the current injection.
With injections acquired within a result set, the Custom Calculation results are computed at result set level. They are computed only if:
All the injections of the result set are reprocessed or requantified together (select all injections of the result set before reprocessing or requantifying, or click Reprocess All).
The CC file is unique in the result set. Injections of the result set can be linked to different processing methods, but all methods must refer to or embed the same CC file.
During data acquisition in OpenLab Acquisition
With single runs, the Custom Calculation results are computed for each injection independently.
With sequence runs, partial results are computed at the end of each run.
Custom Calculations are linked to or embedded in processing methods. Custom Calculation results are therefore computed during processing, reprocessing, or requantifying the results. To compute them already during acquisition, provide the name of the processing method in your sequence table or single sample analysis along with the other acquisition parameters.
In Data Analysis, Custom Calculation results are not computed after manual operations (manual integration or manual identification). To compute them, you must reprocess or requantify your injections once your manual operations have been done.
