Overwrite an existing baseline

The Overwrite Baseline tool is automatically activated when you move the mouse cursor close to an existing baseline and press the [Ctrl] key. In this case, the cursor will change to a crosshair symbol.

Prerequisites

The Overwrite Baseline tool is only available if you activated the New Baseline tool in the Chromatogram Properties dialog.

  1. Move the mouse cursor close to an existing baseline, and press the [Ctrl] key.

  2. The Overwrite Baseline tool is automatically activated. The cursor changes to a crosshair symbol

  3. While keeping the [Ctrl] key pressed, click with the left mouse button, and drag the new baseline to the required position.

  4. The new baseline will replace the existing baseline.

If you want to place the new baseline directly at the signal, you can make use of the signal attractors (see Attractors).
