Link injections to an existing result set method

If you want to link an injection (as part of a result set) to a master method, and a result set method with the same name already exists, you must overwrite the existing result set method.

This procedure explains how you can link an injection (part of a result set) to a result set method, if the result set method already exists in the result set directory.

Prerequisites

To be able to carry out the procedure as described, you need the privilege Project Management > Edit content of project. Privileges are configured in the Control Panel.

The project must not enforce method approval. In projects with enforced method approval, you cannot link to result set methods. For details, see Method approval.

  1. If you tried linking a master method, and you are asked if you want to overwrite an existing result set method: Click Cancel linking.

  2. Click Open Method in the ribbon, and navigate to the existing result set method.

  3. Open the existing result set method.

  4. In the navigation pane, select the injection or injections you want to link, and select the just opened result set method.

  5. Right-click the method and select Link selected Injections to selected method.
