In OpenLab CDS, there are two types of processing methods:
Master methods are located in a directory that is independent of the data.
If the project enforces method approval, master methods have a specific status label (Generic, Approved, or Obsoleted).
Result set methods are located in the corresponding
result set folder. When listed in the Methods section of the navigation pane, result set
methods are always shown with a vial symbol
.
With Data Analysis, if you link a processing method to an injection that is part of a result set, a copy of the method file is automatically created in the result set folder. The copy in the result set folder is used to process the injections in the result set.
If you want to reprocess data in Data Analysis, you need a processing method created in Data Analysis (.pmx file), and you must link this method to the specific injection or injections. Each injection can have its own linked method.
A result set method has the same status label as the master method it was copied from.
