Import EZChrom data

You can import data from older EZChrom releases — even those that did not yet write results in the ACAML format. In Data Analysis, you create a new result set from the old data files.

Supported versions: EZChrom 3.3.2 or higher

Prerequisites

To be able to carry out the procedure as described, you need the privileges Project Management > Edit content of project and Data > Import raw data. Privileges are configured in the Control Panel.

  1. In the Data Selection view: On the Import/Export ribbon tab, click Import Raw Data .

  2. A dialog opens in local file system of your PC. Browse to the EZChrom data, and select the .dat files that you want to import. Hold the [Ctrl] or [Shift] key to select multiple items.

  3. In the Create New Result Set dialog, adjust the order of injections, or remove individual injections.

    4. Optionally, provide a processing method for the new result set. Check the name and location for the new result set.

Only injection parameters and raw data will be imported. Imported injection parameters include:

  • Sample name

  • Vial number

  • Operator

  • Acquisition date/time

  • Acquisition volume

  • Acquisition method name (if available)
