Unattended automatic deconvolution

Spectral Deconvolution results are automatically generated during the processing step while acquisition is running. Results are ready for viewing in Data Analysis, and a report can be generated without requiring any additional work.

Prerequisites

  • To be able to carry out the procedure as described, you need the following privileges. Privileges are configured in the Control Panel.

    • Project Management > Edit content of project

    • Processing Method > Edit MS Spectral Deconvolution parameters

    • Processing Method > Edit reporting parameters

    • Sequence > Create and modify sequence

  • You acquire SCAN data in profile mode.

  • A Spectral Deconvolution Feature license must be available in your OpenLab system.

The Spectral Deconvolution Feature license is not included in the 60-days startup license of OpenLab CDS!

  1. Prepare an LC/MS Spectral Deconvolution processing method.

  2. In the processing method under Spectral Analysis > MS Spectral Deconvolution, select the Run automatic deconvolution check box. Prepare the other deconvolution parameters as required.

  3. In the processing method under Reports > Injection Report, configure the output based on the MS_Deconvolution_Short report template (see Processing method: Reports: Injection Report).

  4. Save your method.

  5. In Acquisition, provide the processing method for your single samples or sequence runs.

  6. During the acquisition, the results will automatically be calculated. If configured in the processing method, reports will be created.
