Change multiple table rows at once

OpenLab CDS offers to populate multiple cells of the same table column at the same time.

Use content from existing compounds

  1. Enter the required value in a table cell.

  2. Right-click the table cell, and select Fill down - copy from the context menu.

  3. The value you just entered will be used in all table rows below the selected row. Only the values in the selected column are changed, other columns remain unchanged.

Use content from the clipboard

  1. Prepare the values in an external program, for example, Notepad or Excel, and copy them.

  2. Copy only the values for one single column. The values must not include tabs.

Ensure that you use the correct format corresponding to your target column (for example, do not use letters for the expected retention time)

  3. In the Compound Table tab: Right-click the table cell where you want to start pasting your values, and select Fill down - paste from clipboard.

  4. The values from the clipboard are inserted into the selected column of the compound table. If you copied more rows than there are in the compound table, the surplus values are ignored.
