Tune a subsection

The Integration Optimizer allows you to tune the three basic parameters (using the sliders) only for a smaller time range in the chromatogram. This time range will be optimized independently of the general tuning parameters.

  1. To show the markers for a new special integration region, click in the toolbar.

  2. Move the mouse over the lines, and drag them to the required start and end position.

  3. To check the new timed integration events that you create for the region, click . The timed events are then visible in the chromatogram.

You cannot edit timed events graphically while tuning a special integration region.

  4. Use the sliders to tune the signal in this region.

  5. The corresponding timed events are added.

When you use the sliders, the corresponding timed events hold their values from the beginning to the end of the region.

If your special integration region already contains one or more timed events for the same parameter, they will be removed. Instead, a new timed event is added at the end of the special integration region. This new event restores the original value for the integration parameter at that retention time.

  6. To save the settings for this region, click in the toolbar.

  7. or To discard the changes, click without saving the changes first.

  8. Check the new integration events that you have created for the region. If timed events are not displayed, click to show them.

  9. The timed events at the start of the region are set to the values that you chose using the sliders. At the end of the region, timed events set the parameters back to their previous values.
