Sign as an author

Starting with OpenLab CDS 2.8, signature levels for electronic signatures can include or exclude authors of a result set. Data must be acquired or processed by OpenLab CDS 2.8 or higher to allow signatures by authors.

Whether a user is an author is automatically evaluated by the system. OpenLab CDS considers the following users as authors:

  • users who have started the sequence or edited the sequence while it is running in Acquisition

  • users who have processed and saved the result set in Data Analysis

OpenLab CDS offers to set up signature options per project (see Signature Settings). The following examples show how to consider authors in the signature settings.

Only authors can initiate the signature workflow

Technicians can initiate the signature workflow whether they are author or not

Only technicians who are not the author can confirm review

Any user who is not the author can sign
