Export data as OpenLab archive to the local file system

Use this function if you want to export your data as OpenLab archives (*.olax files) to the local file system.

Prerequisites

  • To be able to carry out the procedure as described, you need the privileges Data > Export data. Privileges are configured in the Control Panel.

  • You export data that has been generated by OpenLab CDS.

Exporting zipped ChemStation or EZChrom data (result sets shown with the ZIP icon , or single samples with an .SSIzip data file) is not supported.

  1. In the Data Selection view, select a result set or a folder.

  2. or Execute a search and select result sets or single runs from the search results.

If you use OpenLab CDS with Content Management: Do not select any previous version. Data Analysis can only export the latest version.

  3. In the Import/Export ribbon tab, click Export. Alternatively, use the context menu of the injection tree.

  4. In the Save As dialog, select the path where you want to save the copy (local directories, mapped network drives, or UNC paths are possible).

  5. The data will be saved as an OpenLab archive (*.olax).

The export is based on folders. The archive will therefore contain the result set or all single injections from the selected folder.

The OpenLab archive includes only the latest version of the selected results. Previous versions will not be included.

The export will be logged in the system activity log.

If you export read-only files and import them again, the new items will be writable.
