Abundance adjustment - For a stune type, this optimizes the entrance lens abundance of the high mass (typically 502 m/z) only. For an atune type this optimizes the entrance lens abundance for both the low (mass 1) and high (mass 3) ions and then develops a gain between them that extends an optimized EM over the entire mass range.
Find peaks - Find all the peaks in the spectrum.
Mass axis adjustment - Fine tunes the mass axis gain and offset to optimize the peak width for mass 1 and mass 3. The tuning algorithm calibrates the mass axis to within + or - 0.2 amu.
Source optimization - Adjusts all lenses in the source to produce an optimized abundance.
Mid mass adjustment - Finds the optimal mid (mass 2) peak width. It then uses this width along with previously determined optimal widths for mass 1 and 3 to adjust the mass axis gain equation to run through all three masses.
Mass gain correction factors - Determine new parameters for the mass gain equation.
Detector gain coefficients - Determine new parameters for the gain coefficient equation.
