Manual Tune

The Manual Tune windows allow you to enter tune parameters to meet sensitivity criteria you have defined.

Manual tuning is an iterative process of maximizing sensitivity while maintaining acceptable resolution, ensuring accurate mass assignment, and providing the desired relative abundance across the spectrum.

To adjust mass assignments

Use the mass filter parameters mass axis offset and mass axis gain to adjust mass assignments. Mass axis offset affects all masses equally while mass axis gain affects high mass peaks more than low mass peaks.

To adjust peak width

Use the mass filter parameters width gain and width offset to adjust peak width. Width offset affects peak widths equally at all masses while width gain affects high mass peaks more than low mass peaks.
