The Temperature section allows you to set the temperature of the column oven. The column oven contains a Peltier-controlled column support that is also used to preheat the solvent.
HPLC columns are normally run at ambient temperature, although increased separation efficiency can be obtained at higher temperatures due to the lowering of viscosities and the corresponding increase of diffusion rates of solutes in the mobile and stationary phases.
Select the Not controlled option to deactivate the temperature control.
Select the lower option to control the temperature; enter the required temperature in the adjacent field.
Limits: 10.0 to 60.0°C in steps of 0.1°C.
