Temperature Settings (Valve Thermostat Cluster)

The Temperature Settings section allows you to set the temperature control mode and Enable Analysis parameters for each temperature zone in the Valve Thermostat Cluster. The parameters are set out in a four-column table. The first two columns set the temperature control mode; the second two columns set the Enable Analysis parameters.

Zone

The zone for which you can specify temperature settings.

Settings

Click the down-arrow and select the temperature control mode from the drop-down list:

  • Not Controlled

Turns off temperature control of the zone.

  • As Detector Cell

Sets the temperature of the zone to the cell temperature of the configured detector. This option is available only when a detector with a temperature-controlled cell is configured. When more than one detector that supports this function is configured, select the detector that will control the temperature from the Temperature As Detector Cell section of the Valve Thermostat Cluster Control.

  • Combined

    (Right side only)

Sets the temperature of the right zone to the same as the left zone.

  • Controlled

Allows you to set the zone to a specific temperature. Enter the required temperature in the Temperature field.

  • Unchanged

    (MCT and ICC only)

Leaves the temperature setting unchanged. The zone keeps the setting that is currently stored in the instrument.

Temperature Range

Click the down-arrow and select the enable analysis mode from the drop-down list:

  • With any temperature

Select this option to specify that the start of the analysis is independent of the temperature of the zone.

  • When temperature is within

Select this option to specify that the analysis starts only when the temperature of the zone is within a specified temperature range. Type the temperature range in the upper field and, if the column host is a G7116A/B or a G7130A, type an equilibration time in the lower field.

When Front Door Open

Mark the check box in this column to specify that an analysis can be started irrespective of the state of the front door of the selected device.

When the check box is cleared, an analysis can be started only when the front door is closed.

Enforce thermal equilibration device

(MCT only)

Mark this check box to restrict the execution of the method to a Multicolumn Thermostat that is equipped with a Thermal Equilibration Device.
