You can program a rinse step to minimize the carry-over from one fraction to another.
You can program to rinse at the start of the run, after the collection of each fraction, or both. To wash the needle between two fractions, the time between the fractions must be higher than the total time the system needs to move the needle from the old fraction to the rinse position plus the time needed to rinse the needle and the time to move back to the new fraction position.
If you mark the Between fraction collection check box, you must put primary attention to collecting waste (if wanted) rather than to cleaning the needle.
This function is available only on the analytical scale (AS) fraction collector. If a recovery fraction collector is configured, or if recovery locations are defined, the recovery function is performed and the rinse function is ignored. |
