Use the Fraction Preview screen to test the fraction collection parameters against one or more reference signals. You can also use the Fraction Preview to optimize the fraction collection parameters interactively.
The Fraction Preview is intended only as a quick preview of the theoretical fraction collection parameters. It cannot take into account experimental influences; therefore, it is strongly recommended that you verify the preview using a test run under laboratory conditions. |
Click
to display a file selection dialog box that allows you to select a
data file that represents the sample for fraction collection, for example from
a test run.
If your reference data contains
more than one signal, click
to assign each reference signal to one of the peak triggers used in
your fraction collector's method.
Use the mouse and the toolbar to zoom in or out, set thresholds, upslope and downslope values in the Fraction Preview. Select the appropriate tool and click at the appropriate position in the signal. The value at the selected position is calculated from the signal and transferred into the Timetable.
You can also use the context menu of the Fraction Preview to interactively change the fraction collection parameters. Right click in the signal plot and select the parameter to change. Click in the signal plot at the point where you want the change to occur.
The Fraction Preview is available only if your chromatographic data system supports the function. |
