Fast Composition Change/Reconditioning

In conjunction with the micro wellplate sampler, the system is able to perform a rapid solvent composition change automatically at the end of a run. Fast Composition Change/Reconditioning is a two-stage process:

  1. The micro wellplate sampler needle is placed over the waste position of the flushport, and the pump delivers a high flow rate for the Fast System Flush time at the new composition (fast composition change) or the initial composition (reconditioning). This equilibrates the system up to the sampler needle outlet.

  2. The micro wellplate sampler needle is returned to the needle seat, and the pump reconditions the column at the flow rate and initial composition for the Column Reconditioning time.

Fast System Flush

Specifies the time for equilibration of the system with the new solvent composition at high flow rate up to the sampler needle outlet. You can set a time between 0.0 and 99999.0 minutes, in steps of 0.01 minutes

Column Reconditioning

Specifies the time for reconditioning of the column with the new solvent composition. You can set a time between 0.0 and 99999.0 minutes, in steps of 0.01 minutes

Enable Fast composition change

Mark Enable Fast composition change to ensure that Fast Composition Change/Reconditioning is used at the end of a run. Fast Reconditioning is switched on in the method in the Set up Pump dialog box.

To enable fast reconditioning, the analytical flow of the capillary or nanoflow pump must be connected directly to the micro wellplate sampler.
