When you are using ISET to emulate a quaternary pump, only binary gradients are allowed. However if, you have a constant channel using water or an aqueous solvent, then you can additionally do a binary gradient two other channels. Generic Systems do not have this limitation, so ternary and quaternary gradients are possible, as long as they are used with a constant flow in the Timetable.
When ISET is active, the pump automatically adapts time-dependent method settings to ensure the same performance as the emulated system. Check the ISET User Manual for a detailed description of the changes. |
