Optimization provides faster throughput of samples by allowing the preparation of the next injection while the current injection is being completed. The net effect is that more samples are performed during a given period of time, although the actual individual injection times remain constant. When optimization is enabled, the next sample is taken up into the autosampler as the first sample is being injected.
Specify the time (in minutes) after injection when the optimization process should begin. Choose the type of optimization using the option buttons.

Overlap Injection Cycle |
Select Overlap Injection Cycle to specify that the next sample is fetched and loaded into the sample loop while the current sample is running. The parameters for overlapped injection are specified as part of the method. There are no parameters for overlapped injection to be specified in the sequence/worklist table. However, there are important restrictions to using Overlapped Injection in sequences/worklists:
