Tray and Plate Configuration (High Performance Autosampler Control)

The Tray and Plate Configuration dialog box shows the current tray configuration of your autosampler. The range of vessel numbers that you can enter in the sample or sequence/worklist is dependent on the tray configuration.

Tray Configuration

The Tray Configuration section shows the current tray configuration of your autosampler.

Plate Configuration

Use the Plate Configuration fields to specify the type and orientation of the plates in the autosampler tray:

  • Upper Plate: the upper plate in the UI, the rear plate in the autosampler

  • Lower Plate: the lower plate in the UI, the front plate in the autosampler

For each position, display the drop-down list of available plates and select the installed plate from the list.

For each position, you can mark the Back to front orientation check box to denote that the plate is installed at 180 degrees to its standard orientation. The graphic shows the orientation:

Check box cleared

Standard orientation: location A1 at upper left corner

Check box marked

Back-to-front orientation: location A1 at lower right corner.

Back to front orientation directly affects the order in which the samples are processed. It is recommended that this setting is applied only in exceptional cases.
