Injection Valve Cleaning

The Injection Valve Cleaning section allows you to specify up to four valve switching times after the current injection.

The cleaning procedure is carried out immediately after the current sample has been injected; that means, even before an overlapped injection is started. When using overlapped injection in combination with valve cleaning, valve switches must be done before an overlapped injection is started; that means that all times for valve switches must be less than the time set for overlapped injection.

Times 1 to 4 are the times at which the valve is switched, measured from the injection time.

Time 1

The time at which the injection valve is switched from Mainpass to Bypass.

Time 2

The first time at which the injection valve is switched back and forth betweenMainpass and Bypass.

Time 3

The second time at which the injection valve is switched back and forth between Mainpass and Bypass.

Time 4

The third time at which the injection valve is switched back and forth between Mainpass and Bypass.

For Times 2, 3 and 4, the number of times that the valve switches from Mainpass to Bypass can be specified in the Valve Movements field. The maximum value is 2; default is 1.

The switching times must be specified in ascending order. You can also switch each of the times to off. Between the first and second, and second and third valve switching times, a rinse is executed using the rinse volumes specified in the Injector Cleaning section.
