Bottle Fillings

In the Bottle Fillings dialog box, specify the amount of liquid in the solvent bottles, and specify the action to be taken when the level gets too low.

The parameters are in two sections:

Fillings

In the Fillings section, specify the capacity of the solvent bottles, and the current volume in the bottles. Each bottle has two fields:

  • Enter the capacity of the solvent bottle (in liters) in the Total Volume field. The maximum value is 2,000.00.

  • Enter the amount of the solvent currently in the solvent bottle (in liters) in the Actual Volume field. The maximum value of the Actual Volume is the Total Volume of the bottle.

The Actual Volume field is updated as the solvent is used. When you fill the solvent bottle, enter the new actual volume of the solvent bottle in the appropriate Actual Volume field.

No direct measurement of the levels in the solvent bottles is done. The amount remaining is calculated by the amount of solvent used, and the Actual Volume set.

Actions

In the Actions section, specify the action to be taken if the solvent level falls too low.

Mark the Prevent analysis if level falls below check box, and enter a threshold in the field to ensure that the sampler generates a Not Ready condition if one of the calculated solvent bottle filling levels falls below the set threshold. The current run is completed, but the sequence/worklist will not continue with the next analysis.

Mark the Sampler in error if running out of solvent check box to ensure that the sampler generates an error if one of the calculated solvent bottle filling levels is zero. The error is recorded in the logbook and the analysis is stopped immediately.
