RID Dashboard Panel

Module Graphic

The items in the RID graphic have the following meaning and function:

The RID is in standard mode, neither purging nor recycling.

The RID is purging; the purge valve is on.

The RID is recycling; the recycle valve is on.

When balancing is in progress, the graphic is yellow (not ready).

Displays the state of the optical unit heater, off (left) or on (right).

Indicates that an External Contacts board is installed (G1362A only).

Actuals

The following RID actuals are displayed:

Optical Unit Temperature

The current temperature of the optical unit (in °C).

Diode Balance

The diode balance ratio between sample and reference.

Recycling

The status of the recycling valve (either off or the length of time it has been on).

Purge

The status of the purge valve (either off or the length of time it has been on).

RI Signal

The signal output (in nRIU).

Polarity

The current signal polarity (pos or neg).

Wait after Purge

The time remaining after purging before the RID is ready.

Context Menu

The context menu contains the following commands:

Control

Displays the detector's Control dialog box.

Method

Displays the detector's Method Setup dialog box.

Error Method

  • Set Error Method

    Sets the error method to the method that is currently available in the hardware. The error methods are loaded automatically on all modules if an error occurs.

  • Clear Error Method

    Removes the currently loaded error method.

Identify Device

Causes the LED on the front of the module to blink for a few seconds.

Balance

Balances the detector.

Switch on

Switches the optical unit heater on.

Switch off

Switches the optical unit heater off.

Open Purge Valve

Opens the purge valve.

Close Purge Valve

Closes the purge valve.

Switch Recycling on

Switches on recycling of the solvent.

Switch Recycling off

Switches off recycling of the solvent.
