Schedule a Checktune (LC/MS)

  1. If needed, click Instrument Status.

  1. In the Instrument Status window, click the Dashboard tab.
  2. If needed, click Take. In this image, Take is already selected.

  1. Right-click the SQ device, and select Schedule Tune.
  2. In the left pane of the Schedule Tune dialog box, click Checktune.
  3. Click the Scheduling slider to switch Scheduling on. The other options on this dialog box are only available when Scheduling is on.
  4. Click either Weekly or Monthly.
  5. Select other options to indicate how often to schedule the Checktune.
  6. Click Save.

User Interface

This dialog box has two panes. You select either Checktune or Autotune in the left pane. The information in the right pane shows the current schedule for the selected tune.

Scheduling

Either On or Off. If you select off, then all other options are unavailable.

Weekly or Monthly

Either Weekly or Monthly.

If you click Weekly, then you see options for scheduling each week.

Recur every X week (s) on

The number of weeks until the tune is scheduled again. If you enter 1, then the tune is scheduled every week. If you enter 2, then the tune is scheduled every other week. If you enter 3, then the tune is scheduled every third week. You can enter a value from 1 to 99.

The days of the week to run the tune. You mark one or more the following check boxes.

  • Monday
  • Tuesday
  • Wednesday
  • Thursday
  • Friday
  • Saturday
  • Sunday

If you click Monthly, you see options for scheduling on a monthly schedule

  • Day X of every Y month(s) - You can specify a specific date to use each month. If the current month has fewer days than the day entered, a message is shown to indicate the occurrence will fall on the last day of the month. This change is reflected in the Day box. You also specify the monthly recur value. If you specify 1, then the tune is performed on the specified date each month. If you specify more than 1, then the tune is performed every N months. If you specify 2, then the tune is performed every other month.
  • The X day of every Y months - You can select a specific day of a specific week during the month.  The options include First, Second, Third, Fourth, and Last. Then, you select the day of the week. Then, you type the recurrence. For example, you can select the Second Thursday of the month. You also specify how often this event occurs. You can type 1 to have this even occur every month. You can type 2 to have the event happen every other month. The monthly recur range is from 1 to 99.

Start Date

The date selected from the calendar. The scheduled Checktune will start after this date.

Time

Time to run the Checktune. The time value is arranged from 12:00 AM to 11:30 PM at 30 minute intervals.

Save button

Saves the tune schedule configuration.
