Create a Method

  1. Launch your instrument from the Control Panel.

  2. Click Method (Method type/Apparatus type).

  3. Click (Create a new Method).

    4. Method Type

    Manual: 708-DS Tester only method. Method options unique to this method type such as Staggered Start, will become available.

    850-DS: 708-DS/850-DS System Only. Method options unique to this method type will become available.

    Apparatus type

    Select from one of the following apparatus types:

    Apparatus 1 – Baskets

    Apparatus 2 – Paddles

    Apparatus 5 – Paddle over Disc

    Apparatus 6 – Rotating Cylinder

  4. Select Method type (system is manual (708-DS Only) or an 850-DS System (708-DS/850-DS)) and Apparatus type (method is for Apparatus 1,2,5 or 6) and click OK.

    5. The method is created and a dashboard for specification of the method paramters is diplayed.

  5. Fill the parameters of the following panels General, Tester Setup, Sampling Parameters and Timetable (see Method Parameters) to define the method.

    6. If a value entered is outside the operating range of the instrument, then it will become highlighted in red, prompting the user to change the value to one that is within the operating range of the instrument.

  6. Click Save method as new file.

    7. Upon saving, unique audit information will be applied to the method.

Use to cancel editing the current method.

Use to print the the method.
