Probable Causes

  • Safety fault turns off high vacuum gauge

  • Vacuum leak

  • Bad high vacuum gauge

Suggested Actions

  • If the actual reading is 9.94 x 10 -1 Torr, there may be a safety fault causing the gauge to go into Standby. These usually include:

    • Solvent leak

    • Temperature leak

    • Voltage issue

  • Power cycle the instruments to see if you can get rid of the fault.
