To configure tune, you must the Manual control (only when instrument is idle) and MS autotune and manual tuning permission.
Click Method.
In the Acquisition Method window in the navigation pane, click Instrument Setup > SQ.
In the navigation pane, select Tune > Configure Tune.
If needed, click Take. In this image, Take is already selected.
Click Tune control to lock the instrument for tuning.
Edit the Polarity and Description as needed.
Click Tune control to unlock the instrument after you finish tuning.
In the Configure Tune section, the following options are available:
| Click to lock control of the instrument for tuning. This button is only available when the instrument is unlocked. |
| Click to unlock control of the instrument. This button is only available when the instrument is locked for tuning. |
| Click to restore the instrument mode descriptions to the default description. |
The Standard Quadrupole instrument mode is listed in the tune table. The following table describes the columns in the standard tune table. Tune control must be locked to edit the table.
Polarity + Polarity - | Click a polarity to show to the Autotune or Checktune Section. The polarity is used in the method for validation of MRM polarity, and is also shown in the Instrument Mode section for the selected mode. If no polarity is selected, positive polarity will be used. |
Instrument mode | Standard Quadrupole is listed as the instrument mode. |
