There is a limit of 4 instruments that can be configured on a normal workstation, and a maximum of 6 instruments per AIC as per OpenLab CDS 2.x limitation.

For RS232 communications, a PC with a RS232 COM port is desired. If this is not available, an alternative solution exists whereby a USB/RS232 adapter can be used instead. In this case, the PC/instrument controller should also have one USB port available. We cannot guarantee that all other RS232/USB adapters, hubs or cables will work. Experience shows some older USB driver versions may not work, so always check to ensure you have the latest USB driver from the supplier installed. In some cases adapters may still not work, in which case the recommended adapters should be ordered. |
