In 2D-LC, the peaks in the individual cut signals are assigned to a 2D peak as follows:
Get the full ²D detector signal, and integrate all cut signals.
Get the values for the ²D retention time window defined in the processing method under 2D Peaks > Assignment :
Absolute ²D retention time window
Relative ²D retention time window
Assign the different cut signals to distinct cut series.
Peak assignment only works within cut series where the entire flow is transferred to the 2nd dimension.
For each cut series:
Starting from the highest unassigned ²D peak, assign all ²D peaks from adjacent left and right cuts within the absolute and relative retention time windows to the same 2D peak. The retention time windows are defined in the processing method under 2D Peaks > Assignment .
