Learn more about system suitability in the core Data Analysis
With 2D data, System Suitability is calculated for both ¹D and ²D peaks. The calculations are identical for all peaks.
If you evaluate 2D data, however, please note the following:
Make sure that the correct column is associated with the second dimension detector. Check the processing method under System Suitability > Properties .
The system suitability values for peaks in the second dimension
are show in the Peak Table ²D window
(use the Column Chooser
to show hidden columns).
The system suitability values for 2D peaks are shown in the
Injection Results window, together
with the results for ¹D peaks (use the Column Chooser
to show hidden columns).
As for ¹D peaks, the tangents through the inflection points and the indicators for the peak width at 5% and 50% of a ²D peak are shown in the Peak Details window.
NOTE
For imported ChemStation data, there is no information for the columns in the second dimension. Therefore, in the processing method under System Suitability > Column , you can overwrite only the parameters of one column (from the first dimension). To compute the separation performance for the ²D column, edit the void time and the length parameters in the column dimensions table under System Suitability > Properties . Select Custom values to make the corresponding fields editable. For details, see Check the column performance.
