The Zero dialog box allows you to start the zeroing procedure for selected positions in the Level Sensing cabinet.
NOTE
Zeroing is only required in rare cases. It is not required if a solvent bottle has only been refilled or replaced.
The dialog box is present only when Level Sensing is configured. It shows one tab per configured Level Sensing cabinet (usually only one). They are numbered LS-1, LS-2, ...
The graphic on the left side shows the bottle positions in the Level Sensing cabinet. Its type ID and serial number are shown below. Identify Device causes the LED on the front of the cabinet to blink for a few seconds (only available with more than one Level Sensing cabinet).
To select one or more positions, click on the positions in the graphic. Selected positions are colored blue. To deselect a position, click on it again.
Follow the instructions on the screen.
Zeroing is required in the following cases:
During installation and configuration.
When a single holder is replaced due to breakage.
When there is mass drift not within standard lab conditions.
When the Level Sensing status card shows a bottle, but there is no physical bottle at the specified position in the Level Sensing cabinet.
