The items in the fraction collector cluster graphic have the following meaning and function:
| Displays the status of the fraction thermostat, off (upper) or on (lower). This graphic is available only when a fraction thermostat is installed. |
| Indicates that an External Contacts board is installed. |
| Denotes collection to a wellplate. The current collection location is shown to the right of the graphic. The tooltip displays the current tray configuration. |
| Starts manual fraction collection. This button is active only during a run. |
| Stops manual fraction collection. This button is active only during a run. |
The following fraction collector cluster actuals are displayed:
Current location |
The fraction location currently in use. |
Fraction mode |
The current fraction mode. |
Temperature |
The fraction thermostat temperature (in ° C). This actual is present only if a fraction thermostat is installed. |
The context menu contains the following commands:
Control | Displays the fraction collector's Control dialog box. | |

| Identify Device | Displays a submenu that allows you to identify either each individual device or all devices in the cluster: Selecting an individual device from the submenu causes the LED on the front of the selected device to blink for a few seconds. Selecting All from the submenu causes the LEDs of all devices in the cluster to blink. |
Arm Movement | Displays the Arm Movement dialog box, which allows you to send the arm of one or more of the fraction collectors in the cluster to its home position or lift the arm. | |
Reset Fraction Collector | Displays the Reset Fraction Collector dialog box, which allows you to send a reset signal to one or more of the fraction collectors in the cluster. During the reset, the fraction collector is in a Not Ready state (yellow). | |
| Reset Fraction Volume | Displays the Reset Fraction Volume dialog box, which allows you to resets the stored fraction volumes of the trays of one or more of the fraction collectors in the cluster to zero. |
| Reset Funnel Tray Volume | Displays the Reset Funnel Tray Volume dialog box, which allows you to reset the stored fraction volumes of the tube trays of one or more of the fraction collectors in the cluster to zero. |
| Recovery Start Location | Displays the Recovery Start Location dialog box, which allows you to specify the start location for the collection of all eluent that is not explicitly collected as a fraction. |
Thermostat | Displays the Thermostat dialog box, which allows you to switch on the thermostat of one or more of the fraction collectors in the cluster. | |
| Edit Wellplate Types | Displays the Define and edit Wellplates dialog box.
