Copy/Increment the value of an analysis parameter

Use the Copy or Increment option to copy or increase the value (one by one) of an analysis parameter to a selection of analyses contained in the analysis or sequence table.

Whether a value can be incremented or copied is parameter-specific. For example, you cannot increment the value of an instrument, a project, or a LIMS connection.

Prerequisites

  • You can only apply the Copy/Increment options to analyses whose injection sources are the same. If several analyses with different injection sources are selected, the copy/increment options are only applied to analyses whose injection source is identical to the one in the first selected analysis. Grouping the analyses by the injection source is useful to see which analyses have the same injection source and are able to apply the options.

  • The analyses are in state Waiting, Incomplete, Waiting on error, or Edited by <user>.

  1. Select both the analysis with the currently defined parameter value, and the analysis or analyses to which this value is to be copied or increased.

  2. In the analysis with the currently defined parameter value, right-click the parameter and select Copy on column <parameter> or Increment on column <parameter>.

  3. The value of the first selected analysis is copied or incremented on the other analyses.

  4. In the context menu, click Copy or Increment.

  5. The value of the first selected analysis (sequence line) is copied/incremented on the other analyses (sequence lines).
