Create Template

For automatic completion, the Auto-fill values are defined in a template. Templates can be created in different ways (for more details, see Auto-fills table population). One option is to use the Create Template feature in the Sample Scheduler client.

The following example describes how to create a template that defines the Auto-fill values of an injection source and an acquisition method for a specific instrument (trigger).

Prerequisites

  • The Create Template button is only displayed if you have the privilege Is an administrator (Sample Scheduler). To be able to carry out the procedure as described, you need this privilege. Privileges are configured in the Control Panel (role type Administrative, section Sample Scheduler).

  • You have configured the Auto-fill trigger parameters in the Command tab of the Sample Scheduler configuration. For more information, refer to Auto-fill trigger configuration.

  1. Create a new analysis in the Analysis table of the Sample Scheduler client.

  2. Assign a value to the parameters you want to use as Auto-fill values (in this example, injection source and acquisition method).

  3. Save the analysis.

  4. The Edit ribbon tab will be enabled.

  5. Click the submenu of the Create Template command.

  6. A drop-down list is displayed.

  7. Select the parameters that you want to add in the Auto-fills table (in this example, injection source and acquisition method). The Auto-fill trigger parameters defined in the Sample Scheduler configuration (in this example, instrument) are checked by default, as they are mandatory.

  8. Select the analysis in Waiting or Incomplete state, and click Create Template.

  9. The template is added to the Auto-Fills table of Sample Scheduler configuration. The selected parameters are filled with the values defined in the Analysis table.
