Notifications

Invalid command

When an invalid command is generated by the LIMS, it is automatically trashed by the Sample Scheduler (sent to a Trash folder located at the <LIMS_Commands> folder root). To ensure users are informed of the command trash, a notification is sent to the Sample Scheduler client.

To display the list of notifications, click Show Notifications in the Actions tab. A Notifications tab is added to the workspace. Select the Notifications tab at the bottom to show its content. The trashed commands are listed with the date/time of the trash and the list of errors present in the command.

A contextual ribbon tab Notifications is shown. Use this ribbon tab to:

  • Delete all notifications

  • Delete only selected notifications

  • Export the notifications as a log file in CSV format. You can choose the file name and location.

You only see notifications if the On screen check box is selected for your user account in the Sample Scheduler for OpenLab Configuration, Notifications window.

The Delete buttons are only active if you have the corresponding privilege.

Instrument error

When an instrument turns into error, display the reason by clicking the State cell that shows the error. An information screen is displayed, detailing the error. The error can be due to a problem of communication with the CDS, an instrument error (for example, vial is missing in the autosampler, etc.).

This feature can help you to understand quickly the reason for the trouble and correct it if possible, or to decide to analyze the sample on another instrument if an instrument maintenance must be done.
