Create a task to shut down your instrument

Privileges

• OpenLab CDS: Method Development > Create and modify task

1. Open the Tasks window in the Methods layout.

2. Define the required steps. A Switch Devices On/Off action is implemented in most drivers. This allows to shut down individual modules or the entire instrument.

   

   NOTE: Available actions and parameters depend on the instrument. For details on available actions refer to respective driver help.

   If an action is only partially implemented by the instrument driver, it may be shown in the Task window, but will not do anything when the task runs.

3. Click Save Task to save your task file (*.tmx).

4. Add a task line to your sequence, and select the respective task.
