Create a new method

OpenLab acquisition methods include the parameters for each component associated with your instrument.

For example, if your instrument includes both a GC and a Mass Spectrometer (MSD), the parameters for both the GC and the MSD are included in a single method.

1. Launch your instrument from the Control Panel.

2. Click Method.

   

3. The components configured with this instrument are listed in the navigation pane under Instrument Setup. Click New Method .

4. Enter your instrument's method parameters as applicable. For details on entering these parameters, place your cursor in the instrument parameters area and press F1.

5. When you have completed the method, click Save As to save your method as an .amx file.
