Create custom parameters

Sample and Compound custom parameters can be created to use in the Acquisition Sequence table. If custom parameters are changed while Data Analysis is running, you must restart Data Analysis to load the updated values.

1. Click Projects and select the project to which you want to add custom parameters.

2. Click Edit Project.

3. Select the CDS Settings tab and expand the Sample Custom Parameters or Compound Custom Parameters section.

4. Click Add.

5. Enter details to define the parameter:

   • Parameter Type (for sample custom parameters, only present if Agilent MassHunter applications are is installed):

     Choose User Defined to create your own parameter.

     Choose Advanced DA Option to select a predefined parameter for MassHunter BioConfirm or MassHunter Qual.

   • Name: Provide a name (for user defined parameters), or select one from the list (for predefined parameters).

   • Default Value: Optional for user defined parameters.

   • Mandatory: Make the parameter required.

   • Display Location: Choose where this parameter is available in Acquisition.

6. Click OK.
