Select System Activity Log to search, export, or print the activity log for Control Panel, instruments, and integrated applications. Activity logs are system-generated logs that track system-wide settings, while audit trails are logs that have signatures and track changes to methods, sequences, and results pertaining to a particular sample or experiment.
Activity logs are always enabled and cannot be disabled.
The timestamp of logged events has a precision of one second. If several events occur in the same second (for example, due to parallel execution of software processes), the order in which they appear in the activity log is not necessarily the order in which they were executed in that second.
Timestamps are displayed as hh:mm:ss along with the offset of the time to UTC. For example, 16:07:38+01:00, which indicates a local time of 16:07:38 and UTC time as 15:07:38. The offset is taken from the Windows time zone setting of the computer running OpenLab.
