Delete a compound or group from the processing method

The expected compounds are stored in a compound table as part of the processing method. The following procedure describes how to delete a compound, named group, or timed group from the compound table.

Preparations

• To be able to carry out the procedure as described, you need the privilege Processing Method > Edit identification parameters . Privileges are configured in the Control Panel.

• If the project enforces method approval, the method status must be Generic. For details, see Method approval.

1. If the Processing Method window is hidden, click Processing Method in the Home ribbon tab to show the window.

2. Under Methods in the navigation pane, select the processing method you want to edit.

3. In the Processing Method window, select the Compounds > Identification node.

   The compound table is shown.

4. In the compound table, right-click the compound or group that you want to delete, and select Delete selected compound or group from the context menu.

   OR: Alternatively, you can press Delete or click Delete selected compound or group from the Method ribbon tab.

   To select multiple compounds, hold the Ctrl key while clicking the compounds. To select a range of compounds, hold the Shift key while clicking the compounds.

5. In the ribbon, click Save Method.
