Apply weighting

This procedure describes how you can specify a calibration point weighting.

Preparations

• To be able to carry out the procedure as described, you need the privilege Processing Method > Edit calibration parameters . Privileges are configured in the Control Panel.

• If the project enforces method approval, the method status must be Generic. For details, see Method approval.

1. If the Processing Method window is hidden, click Processing Method in the Home ribbon tab to show the window.

2. In the Processing Method window, select the Compounds > Calibration node.

3. For the Weighting method parameter, select the required processing method. You can choose from:

   • None: All calibration points have the same weight

   • 1/Amount: Calibration points are weighted by the factor 1/Amount

   • 1/Amount²: Calibration points are weighted by the factor 1/Amount²

   • 1/Response: Calibration points are weighted by the factor 1/Response

   • 1/Response²: Calibration points are weighted by the factor 1/Response²
