Configure project and privileges for method approval

Preparations

You are using a system with central data storage. The following storage types are supported:

• Content Management component (available as part of OpenLab CDS)

• OpenLab ECM XT

1. Edit the relevant project in OpenLab Control Panel. Under Project Options, select the Enforce method approval check box.

   The check box is only available when using one of the systems listed above.

2. In OpenLab Control Panel under Administration > Roles , assign the following privileges to the relevant roles:

   • Processing method  > Use generic processing methods - required to link data to a master method that is not yet approved.

     By default, this privilege is assigned to the roles Chemist, Technician, and Everything.

   • E-Signature  > Modify method status - required to change the master method status.

     By default, this privilege is only assigned to the role Everything.
