Add MS compound from a library hit

Privileges

• Project Management > Edit content of project

• OpenLab CDS: Method Development > Edit identification parameters
  Privileges are configured in the Control Panel.

Prerequisites

• If the project enforces method approval, the method status must be Generic. For details, see Method approval.

1. Run an MS library search (see MS library search).

2. In the MS Lib Search Results window, right-click the relevant compound, and select Add result as compound to method.

   The new compound is listed in the compound table of the processing method. The signal for the compound is set corresponding to the one that you used (typically TIC SCAN). An MS spectrum is extracted behind the scenes, and is set as a reference spectrum to the new compound.
