Processing method: Extraction: Chromatogram (UV tab)

This section of the processing method contains parameters to extract UV wavelength chromatograms out of the 3D UV spectra matrix.

Extract maximum wavelength chromatogram

The application identifies the wavelength with the highest response in each single spectrum. These single response values are used to extract the chromatogram. Select Restrict wavelength range and provide a wavelength range to find the highest response value only within this range.

Extract total wavelength chromatogram

The applications adds up all response values within each single spectrum. These summed response values are used to extract the chromatogram. Select Restrict wavelength range and provide a wavelength range to add up only response values within this range.

Chromatogram extraction table

The table contains sets of parameters used to extract chromatograms at specific wavelengths:

  • Wavelength (nm)

    Min >= 190.0; max <=1000.0; 1 decimal point

  • Bandwidth (nm)

    Min = 1; max=200; default for new signal = 4

  • Detector

  • Use reference

    Check box to take into account a reference wavelength band; it enables the Ref. wavelength and Ref. bandwidth column.

  • Ref. wavelength (nm)

    If reference is used: Min >= 190.0; max <=1000.0; 1 decimal point

  • Ref. bandwidth (nm)

    If reference is used: Min = 1; max=200
