Create a Target Tune

You may convert an Atune or Etune autotune to a target tune as specified below.

Stune files, by default, are target tune files, and therefore cannot be converted to a target tune file. To modify any of the settings of an Stune file, first save it as a new name, then continue with this procedure.

To create a target tune file from an autotune file:

  1. Request tune control.

  2. Load the autotune file you wish to convert.

  3. Select Tune > Custom Tune to access the Tune Criteria and Masses for Autotune settings. Notice the Tune Target (%) column is blank.

  4. Click Convert. The Save dialog opens.

  5. Save this target tune file with a new name. You can not use a default tune file name (Atune, Etune, Stune). Notice the Tune Target (%) column now contains the default ion percentages for the tune target. The converted Tune type is now Target Tune.

  6. If needed, change the ion ratios. This does not append an asterisk (*) to the Target Tune type.

  7. If needed, change the applicable tune criteria or target tune percentages. Notice that, if you started with a file that did not have an asterisk appended to it (e.g., Atune, Etune), as soon as you modify one of these settings, an asterisk (*) is automatically appended to the Tune Type (e.g. Target Tune*).

  8. Click Save the tune parameters to save the changes to this file.

  9. Release tune control.

If, at some later date, you wish to return to the default settings for this tune file, you may do so.  See Default Tune Files.
