Update firmware

MS Instrument firmware updates are delivered with OpenLAB, or can be downloaded from Agilent. The following describes how to install an firmware update into your instrument.

1. During instrument configuration, OpenLAB verifies the firmware version is the latest. If it is not, the Firmware Revision box will have a red background color. If this happens, you will have to update the MS firmware before completing the configuration in OpenLAB.
   
   
   

2. Access the GCMS Firmware folder for your instrument.
   
   
   

3. Double-click on the msupdate.exe.
   
   
   
   
4. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the firmware update.
5. Once the firmware update has been completed, you may complete the OpenLAB instrument configuration.
