The compressibility of the mobile phase has an effect on the performance of the pump. For best flow accuracy and mixing performance, you can set the parameter according to the mobile phase being used.
This check box allows you to switch between using the pre-defined compressibility values of calibrated solvent types and entering custom values for compressibility.
When the check box is selected, the compressibility fields are not displayed, and the enhanced compressibility calibration is enabled. Select the required calibrated solvents from the drop-down lists using the combo boxes in the Solvents section.
Clear the check box to display the compressibility fields, which allow you to enter compressibility values as in Compressibility.
For the G7161A/B prep pumps, the default compressibility value is 100 * 10-6/bar.
Limits
40 through 150.0 * 10-6/bar
Select the No compensation option to turn off compressibility compensation.
